None Contacts Inside:
Routine inside contacts with various branch employees to trouble shoot receiving, purchasing, invoicing problems, and item management they may encounter.
Weekly contact with supervisor to discuss job productivity is required.
Set up new employees when necessary.
Contacts Outside:
Contact with application vendors for troubleshooting.
PURPOSE Role and Responsibilities The primary responsibility would be entry level Tier 1 Helpdesk support.
This requires supporting company computer users with all types of problems from software to hardware.
This would include the setup of new computers and equipment.
NATURE AND SCOPE ANALYTICAL Considerable judgment required making corrections and problem-solving calculations as well as evaluation and interpretation of procedures.
PLANNING Strong organizational skills to prioritize requests and to do jobs so deadlines can be met.
Ability to handle multiple projects at one time is required.
Other requests by supervisor may be required in this position.
This position may require lifting computer equipment up to 50 lbs.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (minimum required job-related knowledge):
Written and oral communication skills.
High school diploma/equivalent is required.
Computer knowledge in the following:
Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Office, PC support, desktop hardware and laptop hardware.
PREFERRED:
Some college is preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Mostly working in office conditions.
Requires on call time 24/7 for emergencies only.
Last minute requests, accuracy required for multiple tasks.
