- Maintain security and control within the correctional facility - Monitor inmate activities and behavior - Conduct searches for contraband items - Enforce rules and regulations of the facility - Respond to emergencies and disturbances - Conduct inmate counts and inspections - Escort inmates to various locations within the facility - Assist with inmate transportation Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations - Excellent observation and attention to detail - Physical fitness and stamina for standing, walking, and running for extended periods of time - Ability to handle potentially dangerous situations with tact and professionalism - Basic computer skills for report writing Please note that this job description does not encompass all duties and responsibilities of a Correctional Officer.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
